IN BANKRUPTCY.
VOLUNTARY sequestration.—Peter Morteggia, of Stockton, miner. Mr Morris, assignee.
HR WATER BOARD.
It is notified that the Governor has approved of the appointment of Mr Henry Deane Walsh as an official member of the Hunter District Water Supply and Sewerage Board, for a period of four years from the 30th June, as provided by the Hunter District Water and Sewerage Act of 1892.
SAVINGS BANK AT TEA GARDENS.
It is notified that the Governor approved of a Government Savings Bank being opened at Tea Gardens.
PM AT GOSFORD.
The Governor has appointed Mr Charles Lennard Cobet Badham, Police Magistrate of Broken Hill to act as Police Magistrate of Gosford (visiting Cooranbong and Swansea), during the absence on leave of Mr Henry Gordon, PM.
SYDNEY HOSPITAL.
At the monthly meeting of the Sydney Hospital Board this afternoon, Drs M Veech and RRS Mackinnon were appointed to the vacant positions upon the resident medical staff.
ORANGE QUARTER SESSIONS.
A youth named [William] Edmunds, about 20, was convicted, [on attempted bestiality], at the Orange Quarter Sessions to-day before Judge Docker, and was sentenced to two years’ hard labour. There was only one case on the list.

MINING FATALITY.
A report from Moruya states that Gordon and party who, for the past five months have been prospecting on the Deua River, near Bendithera, lately shifted into German Creek, which runs into the same river. Yesterday Robert Woods who, with his father, belonged to the party, was working in some old ground when suddenly the ground gave away, completely covering him. He must have died instantly, as when the earth was removed the body was quite rigid.

SERIOUS CHARGE AGAINST A BOY.
A youth named Peter Brown, aged 15 years 11 months, was committed for trial from the Water Police Court this afternoon, on a charge of assaulting a girl aged 10 years and 4 months with intent.
